Anglers make the trip to Jurassic Lake for one reason--to pursue trophy rainbow trout. These are not your standard trout, and require gear with a bit more backbone and stronger terminal tackle. The area is also located at the southern point of Patagonia, meaning protective, warm apparel and high-quality wading gear are a must.

Over a week of fishing at Jurassic Lake, anglers can expect to employ a variety of techniques, including nymphing, streamers, and dry flies. If you are fishing for less than five days, we recommend a bare minimum of twenty-four flies or a more adequate selection of thirty six flies.
